Occasionally our vendors surprise us with some fun pieces with lots of character and interesting materials. And the January Market did just that. This year expect to see fixtures with natural fibers and materials.

Some of the chandeliers, sconces, and pendants are made of hand-wrapped rattan, smooth bamboo, woven string, handcrafted of mango wood, cork, handcrafted of Eucalyptus, and many in earth tone finishes. We have just put on display some of these lovelies. They are sure to soften the look of your dining room, nook, entry, and hallways.

The designers have really focused on the right hues and textures creating a beautiful, functional environment offering comfort and style. The trending fixtures won’t be right for everyone which is why there are so many choices, but I believe you will agree, they will make a pleasant change.

I understand Science has been studying the effects of design on our emotional well-being and I believe these newest designs will have a soothing and calming effect on us. Who can’t take some of that right now?
