Ceiling fans cool people, not rooms. A running ceiling fan in an empty room is only adding to your electric bill. Remember to turn fans off when you’re away and reduce your energy use. During this time of year, make sure to have the fan circulating counterclockwise.
When ordering a ceiling fan, be prepared to answer questions we ask so we can better help you. What is your room size? The average fan is 52″ in diameter and works well in a room 10 x 12 or a room that is 100-150 sq. ft. You may require a smaller or larger fan. What is your ceiling height? Do you need a down rod? We need to make sure you have at least 7 feet of clearance under your ceiling fan blades. Will your fan be mounted on a sloped ceiling, if so you may require a sloped adapter. Do you want a hand held remote or a wall control? Do you need a light on your fan? Yes, we ask lots of questions.
