Every now and then I like to blog about something fun, not that residential lighting isn’t. Sometimes we dread the number of candles we’ll see on the birthday cake. Remember how much fun it was to turn 6 and then 16? At the 6th birthday; balloons, hats, and cute favors made you so happy and your mom may have taken cupcakes to school to help you celebrate. The 16th party was for teenage fun; good friends, popcorn and coca cola, dancing and maybe a special date was invited.
I recently had a birthday and the people I work with decided to make sure it was special and unforgettable. I came to work and along with all the fixtures, hung birthday signs and balloons. The table was set, lunch was served, a delicious cake was enjoyed, and great gifts were given.
There was something else though! I laughed so hard I almost cried. To my wondering eyes did appear no sled or reindeer, but a Rollator. You heard me, a special vehicle for me. I think it was the best birthday I’ve had yet.
I used my new vehicle to greet customers that day and we all shared in the fun. I work with very special and witty folks; George, Gloria, Larry, and Sherri are my very special peeps. Thanks, guys, for a fun birthday with lots and lots of laughs !
