  • Aloha!

Aloha! This is a word that means both hello and goodbye. It is also a word for love, affection and peace. While lighting is my passion and love, the love of my life is my husband. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary March 3rd and celebrated in Hawaii on the Norwegian cruise line; Pride of America this past week. People ask the secret of 50 years of marriage, I tell them marry a saint as I did. I had visited Maui two years ago with our daughters Angelin and Laura. Jim and I thought this would be a wonderful trip for the two of us and it was. We visited Honolulu, Maui, Hilo, Kona and Kauai. The people of Hawaii are friendly and kind. Hawaii is a magical state and this was a trip of a lifetime.

This blog is to recognize the people that made this trip possible and so special. First off, I could never be gone so long without three employees whose love for our business and great care for our builders and customers is so obvious. Larry Washington, Janet Sweet and Carrie Blake are true gifts and their devotion to Nancy B’s House of Lights is most evident and appreciated. Thank you friends for your dedication and support.

Robin Norell who is a cruise counsellor, certified travel associate and planner helped us every step of the way. Her great care and attention to detail helped make this trip the best ever. If you are considering a trip in the future, please contact Robin at Robin.Norell@MEI-travel.com. Let her take away any worries and concerns and plan a lovely vacation for you.

Cory McKim, PGA Golf Pro is someone who takes great pride in his work. As many of you know, Jim loves to play golf and his dream was to play in Hawaii. Cory made that possible and Jim is most grateful. If you love golf and have always wanted to play in Hawaii, please contact him at cory@hawaiigolfcruises.com and let him work his magic.

Mahalo (thank you) to all the great folks mentioned above.

By the way, the ship’s dining rooms were filled with crystal chandeliers and lighting of all sorts. I enjoyed all the spectacular lighting which as you know, I refer to as the jewelry of your home and now your ship!
