There is a Lowe’s right across the street and a Home Depot to open next month close by as well. I must admit, I love Lowe’s and go there for much of my gardening needs and so appreciate gift certificates my children gift me. Lowe’s has a very kind and knowledgeable employee who manages this garden center and is most helpful, I search her out when I go.

What’s interesting is that Lowe’s sends their customers our way when they need assistance with their lighting and fan needs. They do not offer lamp parts nor repair service, but we do, and they know it, so they send these customers directly to us. We appreciate their confidence in us and their care of theirs and our customers. It is said competition makes the world go around and I say helping local stores helping our customers is a gift to the community.

Our repairman is on location at Nancy B’s about 4 days a week and the repair work is done right here in our store. Most often, repairs are done within a couple of days unless specialty parts need to be ordered then it may take a week to two . Some of the lamps we have requests to repair are keepsakes and have sentimental value. We understand how very special these older lamps are to our clientele, and we take great care of them.

Many times, lamps brought in for repair, not only need to be rewired and receive new switches, but they also need new shades. The heat of incandescent bulbs is so harmful to a lovely shade so of course, we recommend one of our many LED bulbs in the color temperature and wattage desired. Our knowledgeable staff makes sure the shade is a perfect fit, and we often change out the harp, saddle, and finial to make it perfect.
