    Lighting Inspiration 1

Our showroom is a lovely place to visit and shop for lighting inspiration, with lights of all kinds on display. Often, it takes seeing fixtures in person to get excited about them. However, our website can show you our offering of hundreds of fixtures whereas our showroom holds far less. Click here to visit our expansive online selections!

Lighting Inspiration 2It would take at least 20 of our showrooms to display all that we have access to. So many finishes and sizes are available, and it would be impossible to create spaces for all our offerings. Our showroom is still the best place to get inspired and working with our knowledgeable staff, who will suggest proper sizes and light output needed will walk you through the entire process. Come be inspired!

Lighting Inspiration 3One of our vendors, Crystorama, has offered a guide to cleaning your fixtures and I thought I would pass along some of their creative suggestions.

    – Dust and dirt cling to fixtures, dimming their glow by 20-30% and shortening bulb lifespans. Experts recommend bi-annual deep cleaning which involves dismantling the fixture. Are you kidding? No way would anyone I know even consider that. An alternative is regular dusting and wiping your fixture clean every few months. Chandeliers, often a symbol of elegance lose their luster as dust accumulates. Cleaning might be a chore but seeing a shining fixture will be most rewarding.

    – Miss Utility says call before you dig, well, with electricity, safety comes first. So, before you begin cleaning, ensure your safety. Turn off the fixtures power source to prevent accidents and allow bulbs to become cool before removing them. Use sturdy ladders or scaffolding and if necessary, enlist help to steady the ladder and provide assistance.

Lighting Inspiration 4– Gather your supplies; soft microfiber cloth, the cleanser you desire (we offer Sparkle Plenty), bucket, gloves, drop cloth and an extendable duster. Unscrew lightbulbs and gently wipe clean. Dust the dirt on the canopy, rods, arms, and sockets (if using our Sparkle Plenty, protect the sockets by leaving the bulbs in place). Gently clean your fixture.

    – If your fixtures are jute or beaded, the cleaning approach is different. Use a vacuum on its lowest setting or attach a stocking over the hose for more delicate fixtures. We have a special sponge lampshade cleaner you will love for cleaning the shades on your chandeliers along with the shades on your lamps.

Cleaning your fixtures is a job but restoring its beauty is well worth the effort!
